  2. Hi Rudy,

Thanks for your question. The simplest way to begin looking into starting your own small factoring company is to get a series of books collectively called the Small Factor Series. This series is made up of 6 books that pretty much tell you what you need to know. The ebook version of this series is available right here on FactoringInvestor.com for $95. If you prefer the paperback versions (identical material, just paperbacks), they’re available for a somewhat higher price from DashPointPublishing.com.

I do provide coaching for those requesting it, but recommend you read these books first. $15k will be enough for you to start with a single client, but you’ll need more if you want several clients and significantly more if you want to do this as full time work.

The International Factoring Association has an annual convention (next April in Scottsdale, AZ) which is always excellent, and they have a few things especially for small factors. They also have an annual Small Factors Round Table discussion workshop each fall (this year’s was Oct. 7-9).

I’ll be happy to discuss any of this with you in more detail off line if you’d like.

    Thanks,
    Jeff Callender
